Lacock Bellringers

St Cyriac’s has a ring of 6 bells, the oldest bells date back to 1628, the largest of which weighs 12cwt-2qtr-14lbs.  Full details of the bells are:

2 – Cast 1813 by James Wells.  5cwt-1qtr-18lb

3 – Cast 1628, Unknown.  5cwt-2qtr-23lbs

4 – Cast 1852 by Jeffries & Price, Bristol. 6cwt-1qtr-6lb

5 – Cast 1628, Unknown. 8cwt-1qtr-24lb

Tenor – Cast 1771 by Robert Wells. 12cwt-2qtr-14lb

St Cyriac’s is affiliated to the Chippenham Branch of the Gloucester and Bristol Diocesan Association of Ringers, which is itself affiliated to the Central Council of Churchbell Ringers.  Its mission is to further the art of church bell ringing.

The bells are rung for morning service, 3rd, 4th & 5th Sundays from 09:45 – 10:30.  Practice night is Monday from 7:30 – 9:00pm.
