Our September 11th walk of approx. 8½ miles will start outside the entrance to Forage café, Wadswick Country Store SN13 0NY at 10:00 a.m. Park there.
The walk will take us from Forage to Box and then on to St Christopher’s Church, Ditteridge. Thereafter we head on across the fields and lanes to Alcombe, Shockerwick and over railway to Sheylor’s farm. We return via Kingsdown Hill, Henley and Chapel Plaister to Forage for refreshments. The ancient pilgrim chapel at Chapel Plaister will be open for us. This is a delightful route, hilly in parts, with far-reaching views and a delightful lack of traffic and people. Bring packed lunch.
