St. Bart’s Administration and Communications Group

Purpose: 
To provide communications, technical and administrative support and expertise to St Bartholomew’s church and its PCC (and the wider team of parishes where appropriate) to aid the dissemination of information both within and outside the parish.

Areas Covered:

  • Team News
  • Audio/visual and IT support
  • Graphics and publicity
  • Electoral Roll
  • Church Office Support
  • Corsham Area Churches committee Support
  • Team Website
  • General Data Protection Regulation compliance and administration

We do this by:

  • The production and distribution the Weekly Team News and other team-wide communications
  • Providing technical support to the Team Office located in Church House
  • Provision of additional audio/visual services to support services or activities
  • Providing expertise to church groups on administrative and communications matters
  • Management and maintenance of the church PA system
  • Management and maintenance of the video system and equipment, projector, screens, and any other IT equipment
  • Assisting groups with advertising their events by production of suitable posters or other publicity material
  • Co-ordinating Media communications
  • Production of audio tapes of recorded services as required
  • Maintaining links with the Diocesan communications team
  • Attending PCC and other meetings when invited or where appropriate
  • Creating, maintaining, and providing content for the Team website.
  • Acting as Data Controller on behalf of the PCC for the GDPR compliance and administration
  • Maintaining a close liaison with the PCC Secretary to communicate PCC matters to the congregation or wider public
