Services for Children and Families

Updated 20 Apr 24

We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about some of the services specifically for children and their families that take place within our team:

Early Bird Service. A short A 10-15 min, informal, dynamic, fun and interactive story  and song service for children and families, which is held in St Bart’s church, Corsham, on the second Sunday of every month at 4pm (except November when it is a week later because of Remembrance Sunday).  The service is followed by supper and some games or craft..  Please see the Early Birds Facebook page for further information.

FAMILY SERVICES.A slightly longer 45 minute service which is designed for all ages with hymns, songs and a talk.

  • At St. Bartholomew’s on the 4th Sunday of every month at 10.00am. (The service uses video clips and songs and prayers projected on a giant screen)
  • At Neston on the 3rd Sunday at 9.30am – called Café Church, Relaxed worship, coffee, pastries and cakes. Chat, share and explore together. Intentionally intergenerational!

These services provide various ways of worship and teachings and may incorporate mini-plays, films and different types of music.

Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade. If your child is of school age, they are most welcome to join the youth uniformed organisation of the Church of England.  This is held in Church House, Corsham on Wednesdays during term-time, starting at 6.30pm. Read more about the Brigade here

Neston Youth Hub for all children between the ages of 9-13 in the greater parish of Corsham starts on Thursday 25th April 24 from 7pm-8.30pm, in the Upper Room at Neston church, and will run fortnightly thereafter.  It is free to all. More information from Charles Todd at

We also have special services to mark not only the main Christian festivals of Easter Day and Christmas but also Mothering Sunday and Harvest Festival for example, details of which will be emailed to you periodically and will be listed on our services page and in Team News.

We hope there is something here that you and your family will enjoy attending.
